Iracema: history and f(r)iction

Resumen

The objective of this work is to understand how Iracema, legend of Ceará , the “foundation myth” created by the fiction of José de Alencar, in the nineteenth century, became part of Brazilian cultural history, suffering, in various ways, reconstructions and deconstructions throughout the 20th and 21st centuries.
