Abstract

After the independence of Brazil began the process of creating new municipalities. However, emancipations were rarely accompanied by the delimitation of the territory of the newly created municipality, the boundaries of which were inconstant. In this article we present a methodology of georeferenced demarcation of Juiz de Fora, in Minas Gerais, in the 19th century.
