Abstract
Binds the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes), the Institutional Program Initiation to Teaching Scholarship (Pibid) aims to encourage the initial training of teachers for basic education, ally with the higher education systems. Discuss the deployment and implementation of Pibid the State University of Piauí (Uespi) is the objective of the present work. To this end, through a case study, in qualitative terms, discusses the legislation that guides the program and presents the initial results arising from actions taken by the year 2013, using as source the results achieved and expressed in reports and monitoring activities of the Institution, produced by Coordination Areas and Coordination Institutional. Among his contributions was possible to highlight that for Uespi, the program has enabled a space for dialogue important for that licensees establish, still in its formative process, the necessary relationship between theory and practice, strengthening their initial training, allowing collectively, the dialogue between critical thinking and do transformer.
