Abstract

The exile for colonization purposes led to the removal of criminals and their subsequent use as manual labor. The poor condition of compliance with sentences exposed the poor banished to risky situations which hindered their adaptation to the place of exile, their regeneration and social inclusion. This risk to which they were subjected contributed to the decrease in their lifetime.
