Time and History in Machiavelli

Abstract

This article is na analysis of historical aspects of the work os Machiavelli. Enphasis is given to its concepttion of gender History magistra vitae derived of concepts as human nature and of notions as recurrent time. The text intends to demonstrate he preserved and rised history gender based in the exempla. In the same sense, it is affirmed that the history of Machiavelli attests the author's identification with cultural values of the past, in contrast with it's modern conception of political action.
