Abstract
The present study aims to address the thoughts and actions of Alberto de Monsaraz. A notable figure of the first generation of integralistas, Alberto de Monsaraz was a political activist, having been secretary of the Nação Portuguesa [Portuguese Nation] in its first edition, and director of the integralista afternoon daily A Monarquia [The Monarchy], also in its first edition. He was even a collaborator and financier of the journal A Ideia Nacional [The National Idea] by Homem Cristo Filho.
