Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the cardiac autonomic modulation and the metabolic control during the rest in subjects with type 2 diabetes. The group of study was composed for 16 volunteers of both the sexes, sedentary, with 53.8 ± 8.4 years. They had been collected given referring the anthropometric variables, biochemists, blood pressure, heart rate variability (HRV) and heart rate (HR) in rest. The physiological variables and biochemists who had presented significant correlations with the HRV of rest had been systolic blood pressure, HR of rest and fasting glycemia. The waist-to-hip ratio and the high density lipoprotein had presented significant associations with the HR of rest. From the results it can be concluded that definitive morfo-physiological and biochemists variable influence in the cardiac autonomic modulation in subjects with type 2 diabetes.
