It's no secret to anyone that cinema has a very strong power to disseminate ideas and representations. Its reach can reach the most distant locations due to the ease with which it was adapted to other technologies, such as the internet, for example. In this journey, we can see the appropriation of cinematographic space by contemporary indigenous peoples who seek to produce and disseminate their own artistic creations. Therefore, the objective of the present article is a philosophical analysis of the self-representations of Indigenous peoples through their demarcation of cinematic spaces, in contrast to what was previously carried out by the film industry itself.
