Abstract

Objective: To map the scientific evidence on nurses' exposure to occupational risks in a hospital context. Method: Scoping review protocol developed according to the Joanna Briggs Institute methodology and registered in the Open Science Framework: https://osf.io/yfqk9. The databases consulted were CINHAHL® Complete and MEDLINE® via EBSCO and Scielo. Studies that answer the research question “What occupational risks are nurses exposed to in a hospital context?” will be considered eligible. The selection of studies will be carried out by two independent reviewers and a third reviewer will be used in case of disagreement. The studies will be archived and duplicates will be eliminated using the Qatar Computing Research Institute (Rayyan QCRI®) software. To summarize and extract the information collected, the authors will use the previously prepared form. It is expected that the scoping review will contribute to the critical analysis of the occupational risks to which nurses are exposed in a hospital context.
