Objective: To identify the profile of individuals with diabetic foot injuries treated at a private hospital wound treatment center in a Brazilian capital. Method: Descriptive, cross-sectional and prospective research. Results: There was a predominance of people in the elderly, between 51 and 80 years old, male, white, married, retired, overweight and, with a time of seven to 12 months of injury. In the search for the relationship between the variable type of lesion and other qualitative variables, an association was found between type of lesion (all lesions other than specifically diabetic foot) and gender, age and time of injury. The prevalence of diabetic foot was 27.5. Conclusion: The increasing number of individuals affected by diabetes mellitus leads to increased complications of the disease. Diabetic foot represents an important cause of morbidity and mortality in this population. This information is essential for the development of strategies for early interventions of this disease.
