Method: It is a cross-sectional, prospective, observational study with quantitative analysis. Data collection was performed for six months; the patients were followed up from the date of medical indication for the implantation of a definitive CIED, until the surgical implant totaling 117 patients included; Results 173 AE were identified and the type of CIED most implanted was definitive pacemaker; Conclusion: a ratio of 85.7% of sensitivity and 58.3% of specificity was established for patients with time of hospitalization ≥ 04 days waiting for a CIED to present at least one AE. The present study provides subsidies so that a better management of risks to this profile of health service users can be performed, directing evidence-based nursing care.
