Abstract

The article seeks to rescue some of Alexandra Mikhailovna Kollontai's contributions to classical sociological theory, especially the analyzes of working women in the issues of class struggle, motherhood, family and means of liberation. Therefore, the work is divided into three parts, where the female erasure in canonical positions for Sociology, elements of Kollontai's biography and the creative use of the variables "sex" and "class" in the analyzes made by the author are discussed. The objective of the research is not to exhaust all the analytical elements of Kollontai's thought, but to highlight her interpretative creativity in the selected themes, accentuating the originality and specificities of her work. It is a contribution to contemporary efforts, in the sociological field, to rehabilitate women's and feminist works within classical theory, as well as themes that were marginalized in this period, such as the family, intimacy and women's subordination. On the other hand, the return to the works of Kollontai provides critical responses to feminisms about the peripheral positions that the situation of women occupied in Marxist analyses, emphasizing the centrality of women's liberation for the proletarian revolution.
