CHAMADA DE TRABALHOS DOSSIÊ "PENSAMENTO SOCIAL NO BRASIL HOJE" ATÉ 15 DE SETEMBRO DE 2023

Abstract: 

This Dossier aims to bring together the plurality of theoretical and empirical contributions that have been made in the field of Social Thought in Brazil today. We have interest here for productions that aim to expand themes and target platforms of the area of  Brazilian Social Thought, as well as research on different conceptions of the world, diagnoses and social values that permeate the classic and contemporary sociological production in the area. In addition, perspectives that debate the so-called “peripheral” status of Brazil and the Global South are welcome, and studies around how the repertoire of “Interpretations of Brazil” has been used by institutions, social practices and political projects to forge images of the “Brazilian people”. Finally, the presentation of works that comparatively analyze Social Thought in Brazil and Latin America is encouraged, not only in light of the idea of geographical decentralization of sociological production, but also through markers such as “gender”, “sexuality” “nation”, “race”, “ethnicity”, “region” and “religion”.
