Análise do campo da Atenção Básica à luz da teoria de Pierre Bourdieu

Abstract

Objective: To present structural, relational and prescriptive aspects of the Primary Care field and to redefine reception as a health surveillance strategy for care production. Methodology: a descriptive study with a qualitative approach outlined by systematic observation, whose data analysis was performed in light of Pierre Bourdieu's theory. Results: the different aspects observed allowed us to understand the logic of organization, operation and weaknesses in the field. In turn, through the identified reception it was possible to establish meaning about the health practice instituted by the professionals. Conclusion: the look on Primary Care allowed us to resignify it as a field, and it can be observed that it is shaped by rules that guide it and give meaning to its existence. Regarding reception, there were different ways of perceiving and using it, in which it did not emerge in the study as a health surveillance strategy for care production.
