THE COMMUNITY AGENT OF HEALTH AND THE BOLSA FAMÍLIA PROGRAM: AN EXPERIENCE OF POPULAR EXTENSION IN HEALTH

The Project Integral Practice of Nutrition in Health Basic Attention-PINAB is a practice of popular extension in health tied to the Department of Nutrition of Universidade Federal da Paraíba. It acts in a Health Family Unity (USF) Vila Saúde and in a school called Escola Municipal Augusto dos Anjos, both located in the neighborhood of Cristo Redentor, in the city of <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />João Pessoa-PB-Brasil.There are five operative groups in this Project. One of them, the Help Family Program (PBF) developed, between may and September of this year, one educative experience with the ACS about PBF with an aim on educative role that can be exercised by these agents. The ACS were choosed as an intent of the workshops because of the potential of being a bond between the community, where they are inserted, and the Health Family Unity. Using these principles of Popular Education, the collective activities debouched in a course called: The health community agent and the help family program. That Program’s content had the following themes: Zero hungriness and complementary programs to PBF; concepts, conditions, inclusion criterions and benefits of PBF; Human right to appropriated alimentation (DHAA) and Aliment and Nutrition Assurance (SAN); The PBF in the scenery of USF Vila Saúde and Aliment an Nutrition Vigilance System (SISVAN). That experience demonstrated a necessity of educative actions that contribute to the clearance and concomitancy of PBF with The Basic Attention, in a dialog process that involves the health professionals and the population. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
