COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS: USERS´S PERCEPTION ON FAMILY HEALTH PROGRAM IN THE HEALTH DISTRICT OF JUIZ DE FORA-BRAZIL

Abstract

The aim of this article was to get a general view of the user´s perception on the  community health workers in the communities where they act, showing aspects of their involvement. It was also evaluated the level in which the health workers´ activities are perceived and incorporated in population health practice. For this purpose, it was developed a questionnaire with opened and closed questions, answered by 330 users. The results shown that the users perceive that their care were improved with the community health workers, although noticing the need for changes in certain aspects and characteristics of the community health worker´s profile and also in the health services.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
