Época de reprodução de Hoplias malabaricus Bloch, 1794 (Osteichthyes, Erythrinidae) da barragem do rio Gramame, Alhandra, Paraíba, Brasil

Resumo

In this work we studied 102 specimens of Hoplias malabaricus Bloch, 1794, collected in the Gramame reservoir, Alhandra (70 26´S e 340 54´W) municipality, Paraíba State, from August/1994 to July/1995. Data indicate that the reproductive period is long, with individuals maturing from December to March, and spawning occurring from April to June, the latter period corresponding, in the study area, to the largest amount of rainfall and lowest values of air temperature.
