25) Demandas cognitivas linguísticas e não linguísticas em tarefas de crenças falsas de 1 ª ordem

This experimental study in vestigates the role of language development and the reasoning of first-order false belief (FB) standard tasks by children acquiring Brazilian Portuguese More specifically, we question the hypothesis of de Villiers & de Villiers (2000), whereby the syntax of complementation is a prerequisite for this type of reasoning is established. It is assumed, as a theoretical perspective, the concept of language in terms of the Minimalist Program (Chomsky 1995-2001),together with the syntactic boot strapping hypothesis (Gleitman, 1990). Results are reported for a classic CF task of relocations, conducted with children 3-4 and 5-6 years old. The results point to the importance of characterizing linguistic and non-linguistic cognitive demands (such as memory, for example), involved in the False Belief tests.

Tradução: Investiga-se, neste estudo de base experimental, o papel do desenvolvimento linguístico para a compreensão de tarefas-padrão de Crenças Falsas (CFs) de 1ª ordem por crianças em processo de aquisição do Português Brasileiro (PB). Mais especificamente, questiona-se a hipótese de de Villiers & de Villiers (2000),segundo a qual a sintaxe de complementação é um pré-requisito para que esse tipo de raciocínio se estabeleça. Assume-se, como perspectiva teórica, a concepção de língua nos termos do Programa Minimalista (CHOMSKY, 1995- 2001), aliada à hipótese de Bootstrapping Sintático (GLEITMAN, 1990). Reportam-se resultados de uma tarefa clássica de CF de mudança de localização, conduzida com crianças de 3- 4 e 5- 6 anos de idade. Os resultados apontam para a relevância de se caracterizarem demandas cognitivas linguísticas e não linguísticas (como memória, por exemplo), envolvidas nos testes de Crenças Falsas .
