The visualities that design creates play an important role in the subjective formation of individuals. A fact that can be left aside in the technical-scientific position that design has been occupying in the context of film production. The objective of this article is to analyze how design acts in the imaginary of the film Joker (Todd Phillips, 2019), to highlight the ethical-political aspects of the visuality that the film places in the world. To this end, an analysis instrument was used that observes the film as a design-fiction product, which analyzes it from the perspective of its discourse. This article presents the results.
