This paper presents, in a relationship between theory and practice and supported by the work of the research group Algo+ritmo, how Artificial Intelligence services can contribute to design processes in Architecture and Urbanism. It is based on theories dedicated to digital technology and culture, such as Conversation Theory, Systems Theory, Second Order Cybernetics and Peircean Semiotics. The objective is to discuss a possible use of Artificial Intelligence, through Midjourney, in digital design processes and identify in which stages of this process this technology can collaborate and how it can collaborate. The methodological procedures adopted were a bibliographic review related to the topic, observation of experience in propositional disciplines and workshops on the Architecture and Urbanism Course at Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul and verification, in practice, of the use of Midjourney. We understand that online Artificial Intelligence services, considering their limitations, can contribute to the design stage of the project process, configuring a cybersemiotic system of evolutionary representation.
