The article analyzes the support of Brazilian evangelicals for Zionism, highlighting the historical, theological, and political aspects that have shaped this relationship. It begins by defining Zionism as a Jewish nationalist movement and explores its origins, anti-Semitism, and Jewish migration processes. The text discusses the impact of the Protestant Reformation on literalist biblical interpretation and the emergence of dispensationalism, which links Israel's restoration to biblical prophecies and the return of Christ. The influence of the United States on Brazilian Protestantism is examined, emphasizing the introduction of Christian Zionism in the country through missions and dispensationalist literature. The study also analyzes the adoption of philo-Semitic practices by Brazilian neo-Pentecostal churches, such as the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, which incorporate Jewish elements into their rituals and value Israel as a religious and political symbol. Furthermore, it investigates how this relationship strengthens evangelical identity and influences geopolitical positions.
