Abstract

In 2016, Gianni Vattimo donated his archives to the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, which created the Center d’Estudis i Arxiu Gianni Vattimo de la UPF and organized, inside its library, a space reserved for the reception of the philosopher’s documentation under the responsibility of Santiago Zabala. The article is a result of research and work with the sources archived at the UPF and aims to provide the Brazilian academic community with a partial report of the composition of Arxiu Gianni Vattimo. For the purpose, primarily, we will briefly present the history of the archives in Barcelona, as well as the place chosen to put them. Secondly, we will present work with the files that are of interest to the research and, finally, we will discuss some documents found. It is important to emphasize that this article is the result of a doctorate stay in Barcelona with funding from CAPES between 2022-2023.
