Dr. Bruno Ferreira Rizzuti - Physics Department/ Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora - Brazil

Associate Professor at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, with research focus on: (i) analysis of systems with local symmetries and quantization; (ii) application of category theory/resources for operational description of classical and quantum physical systems; (iii) fundamentals of quantum mechanics; (iv) prototyping visually appealing products for physics education with classroom application through inquiry-based teaching.

Dr. Valdemir Ludwig is currently is professor in the Physics Department at Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora/Brazil. Professor Ludwig's current research interests include electronic structure of atoms and molecules with emphasis on molecular liquids and solvent effects. His work use quantum mechanics to study structure of molecular liquids. 

 

Dr. Zélia Ludwig - Physics Department/ Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora - Brazil

Currently Chief Scientist in the Materials Research Center at Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora/Brazil. Professor Ludwig's current research interests include glass, ceramics and various inorganic crystals (their growth and characterization) and application development in instrumentation, electronics and optoelectronics. 

 

Dr. Geórgia Maria Amaral Junqueira. Researcher at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, UFRJ/Brazil.  Physical- Chemistry. Laboratório de Química Teórica e Modelagem Molecular.

Dr. Antonio Carlos Fontes dos Santos is Professor at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro/Brazil. His research is focused on providing a fundamental understanding of Atomic and Molecular Physics.

Dr. Bárbara Lúcia de Almeida. Department of Chemistry - Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora. 

Dr. Divanizia do Nascimento Souza. Full Professor at  Physics Department - Universidade Federal de Sergipe/Brazil. Radiation Physics and Chemistry. 

Dr. Gustavo Fernandes Souza Andrade. Professor at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora- MG/Brazil. He has experience in the area of Chemistry, with an emphasis on Spectroscopy, working mainly in the study of spectroscopies intensified by surface plasmon, such as the SERS effect (Surface intensified Raman Scattering), SPR (Surface Plasmon Resonance) and SEF (fluorescence intensified by surface). The studies involve fundamental aspects of the effects and the development of new metallic materials to maximize the intensification by surface plasmon.

Dr. Ingrid David Barcelos. Researcher in the infrared nano-spectroscopy line at the National Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS). She works in the experimental area of ​​Condensed Matter Physics, with an emphasis on optics, near-field optics, effects of polaritons in two-dimensional heterostructures, growth of graphene by CVD, study of structural properties in microtubes formed from new two-dimensional materials, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), synchrotron X-ray diffraction, and synchrotron infrared nano spectroscopy.

Dr. Luciana Reyes Pires Kassab (Full professor of Faculty of Technology-São Paulo/CEETEPS) dealing with the production and characterization of new vitreous materials with rare earth ions and metallic nanoparticles for photonic applications. Kassab represents our “Glasses and Amorphous Materials” subject section. 

Dr. Rodrigo Stephani. Full Professor at Federal University of Juiz de Fora. He has experience in research and industrial innovation in the area of Chemistry, Food Science and Technology, Quality Assurance, Integrated Management Systems and Food Safety , with an emphasis on food  ingredients and physical chemistry of food. 

Dr. Raony Antonio de Almeida Amorim. Specialized in Experimental Physics—Atomic and Molecular Physics—at the Atomic and Molecular Spectroscopy Laboratory (LEAM) at UFJF. Experienced in Molecular Fragmentation with expertise in Mass Spectrometry, focusing on primary alcohols to explore potential biofuels. Advanced research includes the development of new biofuels and investigations of a biomolecule with potential applications in cancer treatment. Key skills include Mass Spectrometry, Ionization Cross Sections, Ionization and Fragmentation Thresholds, and Molecular Fragmentation.

Dr. Vahid Nikoofard. Assistant Professor at Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. 

Dr. Viviane Morcelle de Almeida. Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro, Instituto de Ciências Exatas, Departamento de Física.
