Marriage, Legitimacy and Family in a Slave Parish of Zona da Mata Mineira: XIX Century

Resumen

This article intends to demonstrate, utilizing parish registers of the baptism, that a majority of the marriages ocurred among slaves of the same origin. The illegitimacy awes were larger than that of the legitimacy; we noted even the presence of the nuclear families and "matrifocal". The relationship imaginary that could be established among captives of the different plantation with persons of the all socials stratus.
