The conception of 'historical truth' in 'History of the siege of Lisbon' and in 'The duplicate man'

Resumen

This article discusses some historical theoretical perspectives that, while dialoguing with Linguistic and Literary Theory, have been conceiving the historical field as a narrative construction. The main idea is not to approach specifically the Academy understandings of literary works, but rather that of the writers: in the case, that of the Portuguese José Saramago, author of "History if the Lisbon siege" and "The duplicated man" among others.
