Resumen

The text discusses the supervision about the execution of wills, under the responsibility of the Ecclesiastical Court of Rio de Janeiro. Focusing on testamentary accounts of the brothers of the Third Orders of Carmel and San Francisco, the paper analyzes the disputes between the Ecclesiastical Justice and the wills executors of third brothers, as well as existing standards in the legacy of the wills of those brothers.
