Resumen

The article deals with the role of supporters of Freemasonry, theosophy and the Esperanto movement, in Ceará in the 1920s, creating a wide network of spiritual thought with notable inclusion in literary circles and in the local press. Keep affinities in the defense of religious freedom and equality provided for in secular state and fought for the Catholic clergy, forming strategic intellectual network for the cultivation of sociability and debates on spirituality and social issues.
