Rightwings and anticommunism in Brazil: 19961-1965

Resumen

In this paper I seek to characterize some aspects of the anticommunism present in the civil-military movement in 1964 that overthrew João Goulart. In particular the anticommunism of the Instituto de Pesquisas e Estudos Sociais (IPES), the Instituto Brasileiro de Ação Democrática (IBAD), the members of the União Democrática Nacional who were bound to the 1964. 1° of April, as well as the army forces who were influenced by the National security Doctrine are analysed.
