Abstract

The analysis of the official policies of the Estado Novoin relation to sports, youth and work at this time, using as paradigm the founding of the Minas Tênis Clube, founded in 1935, in Belo Horizonte (MG). During that time, the State used the sport as a tool for ideological education and as a means of adapting the people to the political and economic principles established for the nation.
