Huellas invisibles sobre el papel: las impresoras antiguas en España y México (siglos XVI al XIX)

Resumen

The historiography of the book and the press of the olden days show a remarkable gap concerning the role that women played in the publishing business. Although recently a few essays and articles have appeared on the subject, the names and activities of many of these printers are still mostly unknown. This article comments on the research and visibility actions that the authors of this text developed over several years to contribute to the knowledge of this facet of women’s work, thus providing new information for understanding some cases from Spain and Mexico.
