Resumen

The article studies the relationship between nation and literary narrative in Angola from three novels by Pepetela, Mayombe, Lueji: o nascimento de um império, and A Geração da Utopia, for this purpose focusing on how the author discusses the problems Angolan society faced with regard to the conception and implementation of a project of independence and consolidation of an identity.
