Resumen

The study analyzes an International Sanitary Convention which happened in the South America, in Montevideo, in 1873, and involved the Empire of Brazil, the Argentine Republic and the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, in a perspective of integration in similar events that occurred in Europe and North America from the second half of the nineteenth century.
