Abstract

The article studies the process of formation of a national identity in the district of Luján, province of Buenos Aires (Argentina) during the period of massive migrations, analyzing the different stages from emigration, its regional composition, his social insertion and in the economic life of the destiny place, as well as the paper of the Associations and Italian elites in the process and construction of an Italian national identity in Argentina.
