Abstract
The article discusses the vision of Latin America built by the Italians during the fascist era, especially the literature of travel in which they are provided reports to personal articles published in the specialized press or not. This vision permeated pre-concepts in the description and comparative analysis and types of natural and urban landscapes and inhabitants of these lands across the ocean and not missing the lessons on the positive contribution of culture and Italian citizen in the production of these landscapes and the social, cultural and political and economic sub-continent American. Emphasizes, too, the growing interest in Italian political and economic region, mainly post-1930, read by ideological filter of fascism and in which across the ocean present and broadcast by Italian immigrants across the ocean and even the necessity of building a pan-Latino - as opposed topan-Americanism - to be led by Rome.
