Abstract
This article has the purpose to discuss the changes in the urban space of Luanda, capital of Angola, between the years 1940 and 1960, based on the analysis of two of its main neighborhoods, Ingombotas and the Workers Quarter (Bê Ó). For this we will use above all the memories of residents trying to understand them representations of these two spaces as a summary of what should be the Luanda and Angola postcolonial.
