Abstract

This article try to evidence the struggle for women’s vote that took place in Brazil in the early twentieth century. Therefore, it highlights for the first phase of the suffrage movement and its main leader, Leolinda de Figueiredo Daltro. She countered up, at the end of the decade, with Bertha Lutz, the leader of the League for the Intellectual emancipation of the woman. The struggles differences and similarities of these two women, about the female vote, will be contemplated herein.
