Printmaking in Rio de Janeiro as an object of study: 1950s /1960s

Abstract

Historical and conceptual approach of the different research projects developed by the author since 1985, having as its object of study the artistic printmaking in the 1950s and 60s, in Rio de Janeiro. Deconstruction of the idea of “movement of pictures” and understanding of the activation process of the field of art printmaking: plurality of trends, education, art criticism, esthetic references, informal abstraction and historiographical review.
