Historiographical and Historical analysis of Brazilian Medicine

Abstract

This article aims at analysing the Historiography and the History of XIX century Brazilian Medicine. In order to do so it focuses on three historiographical thoughts through which it is made possible to argue the production of senses and meanings about practice, speech and medical knowledge. It also tries to questions the relationship between them, mainly concerning the type of History which is made by each of these thoughts, concerned with studying the Brazilian Medicine.
