Abstract

The article examines the production and reception of the book "O problema de sindicato único no Brasil” [The question of the single bade union in Brazil], by Evaristo de Moraes Filho, published for the first time in 1952, and reprinted in 1978. One of the first books to analyze the Brazilian trade union organization, its Influence on studies in the fields of History. Anthropology, Sociology and Labor Law is widely recognized. In this article, I try to discuss the architecture of the book, the consequences it brought to the author's life and its repercussion in the political and intellectual spheres throughout fifty years.
