Abstract
The article analyses the work of the saboian writer Joseph de Maistre, whose ideas deeply influenced nineteenth and twentieth century reactionary and traditionalist thought. The author's arguments concerning the pair revolution/counter-revolution are emphasized, with the aim of showing the paradoxes and complexity which are part of his thought.
