Abstract

This paper analyses the drastic and brief process that led to dismissal of three workers provintial deputies in Minas Gerais House of Representatives, on Brazil, april of 1964. The event occurred a few days after military coup d'état that knocked down President João Goulart's national constitutional government. Deputies fired were effective workers and labour movement activists and these social and political origins had indeed great influence on the violent and informal caracter of the process they suffered, in wich was lacked any real right of self-defense. The documents conceming the event were displayed to public's knowledge only 34 years after 1964.
