Paracatu: migratory movements in the 18th century

Abstract

The purpose of the study reported on in this paper was to investigate the process of povoamento of the region the northwest of Minas Gerais, in particular the village of Paracatu in the 18th century. As source, we use the parochial registers of baptism that indicate the origin of the parents of the bapized children.
