Abstract

This article addresses methodological questions related to the term Comparative Sociological History, emphasizing two aspects: the meaning of the link between History and Sociology, particularly the assumption of time as an analytical category, and the tie-in between historical approach and comparative method. Disagreements are correlated to prior assumptions about the nature of social phenomena, alluding to tensions between theories and facts.
