Abstract

The religions building dating from the 18th century in the city of Goiânia usually present characteristics of the veracular portuguese architecture. The baroque elements particular to the architectunal style developed during that period cannot be observed. However, if at composition level baroque is not observed, it does appear in the use of a symbolism of its own, which is impressed in the plans of some buildings.
