Abstract

Our propouse is to make breaf critical effort aiming to distinguish the diference theories of cultural scholars about the concept of modernism, modernity and vanguard. This theories were bild in other to explain precise to historical contest, whithout intending to bild universal true. Following this we will map the situation of modernism an of the vanguards in Minas Gerais, focusing on the case of architecture and the visual arts in Belo Horizonte.
