The Public Force in Minas Gerais in the First Republic

Abstract

This article consists on a study of the State Army of Minas Gerais between the years of 1889 and 1930. It's main purpose is to make clear the participation of this Army in some special events, like the liteutenamt's movement and be revolution of 1930 in Brazil. A special focus was given to the structural organization of this Army, comparing it to the other ones in Brazil.
