Abstract
The article reflects on urban representations in circulation in the second half of the twentieth century, considering postcards as visual indices of social imagination and urban identities. The city of Criciúma, SC, is used as a gateway to this discussion, and the presence of postcards and their absence in other periods, as a chance to circulate through urban identities and representations in dispute.
