Abstract
The aim of this work is to estimate the relevance of the Brazilian Society for Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) for their being a group of pressure as well as a representative group of the yearnings of a significant part of Brazilian society, linked to conservative thought. The TFP’s dogmas, the integrism expressed in their doctrine, their proselyting methods, as well as the alleged anachronism of TFP in view of contemporary society are analyzed.
