The relationship of trade opening with the number of coronavirus cases in Montes Claros

Introduction: The world lives under a pandemic in which a zoonotic coronavirus, called SARS-COV-2, is infecting human beings. In addition to the health impacts, it also brought uncertainties about the trade market. Goal: investigating and making sure the relationship between the opening trade market and the number of Covid-19 cases in Montes Claros – MG, in the period between April the 5th, 2020 and on June the 30th, 2020. Material and Methods: It was a descriptive cross-sectional study. As for the investigation procedures, it was characterized by documentary research, in which epidemiological bulletins were used. The relationship between the opening of commerce in the city of Montes Claros – MG and the number of cases of coronaviruses, in the period from April 5, 2020 to June 30, 2020, was investigated. The first case of COVID-19 was confirmed in that municipality (April 5, 2020).The data tabulation and descriptive analysis were performed using Excel and, based on that, the graphs were made by interpretation. Results: From the analysis of epidemiological bulletins referring to the evolution of Covid-19 in Montes Claros – MG, general numbers were obtained showing an increase in cases from April to June. The Permission for private celebrations, fully functioning bars and restaurants; in addition to the agglomerations in the bank queues, caused mainly by the release of the emergency aid, they did not help the situation experienced, influencing the increase in the confirmed cases. Conclusion: It was evident that the opening of the trade market in Montes Claros – MG, in fact, influenced the increase in the number of cases of COVID-19.
