Paulo Freire: a construção da liberdade e da subjetividade

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This article aims to present a reflection on the construction of freedom and subjectivity in Paulo Freire's thought. With this we intend to create a discussion about the contribution of this thinker with regard to education. Paulo Freire considers it to be of fundamental importance to discuss the educational role in the process of creating freedom and subjectivity among people. In the same way, he proposes that the individual is the subject responsible for creating the guidelines that can determine the elaboration of their history, through the emancipation of everything that could represent stigmatization or alienation in their personal and collective experience. Paulo Freire's thought points out that this liberation and creation of subjectivity necessarily passes through the process of awareness in a relationship between the subject and society. He also points out that awareness is based on education based on critical sense and questioning.
